In the major cities of Russia, the subways are not merely a place of transportation but a museum celebrating the history of the Soviet Union. Some stations are very old, some have been modernized; but the beauty and interest has been retained in the stations.

These mosaic's depict the life of Russian's and historical events. The subways were built during the Stalin Era, the Soviets used propaganda in everything they did, national pride and the highest virtues of the Russian people.
